Found objects aren't just random items.  They are carefully selected for their inherent histories, textures, and potential to evoke specific emotions and ideas.  These gathered and curated materials beckon rebirth and become the raw vocabulary of a new narrative.

Assembling and layering is deliberate and contributes to the overall conceptual message of the piece.  Juxtaposing disparate materials allows their contrasting natures to create visual tension and spark dialogue.  Multiples introduce an element of repetition that further informs the meaning of the work.  The simplicity of the final composition belies the thoughtful consideration behind each element's inclusion.

This process is driven by a strong conceptual framework.  The selected materials and techniques are not merely aesthetic choices; they are intrinsically linked to the social or personal issues I explore.

My process is a thoughtful interplay between material exploration, conceptual rigor, and a deep commitment to authentic self-expression and empathetic connection with others.
