I create compositions that are simple in form yet profusely conceptual.  Incorporating provocative objects into my work elicits a dramatic initial response that, in turn, opens up a safe space for deeper looking.  This gap provides a point of entry to address controversial topics and compel important conversations we need to be having with one another.

I’m fascinated by our collective story, the beginnings, the endings and the mess that’s in between.  Utilizing uncommon and ephemeral materials allows me to depict the push and pull between the roles we’re given and the ones we choose.  My process provides a way to convey my truths while validating those of others, giving voice to our shared experience.
